Winter Train is an animated screensaver that shows a nice and peaceful winter landscape, while following the journey of a train through a snowed forest. The scene is really well designed, and it shows some interesting details, like the snowed pines and trees, and a beautiful view of a pine forest on a slope. Besides, the 3D animation is really nicely done, and offers a 360ยบ view of the train. Apart from a screensaver, this application includes a calendar and a clock in two different versions, one digital and the other analog. It also includes a configuration panel through which we can set features such as the video mode and resolution, the way in which we want to exit the screensaver, the desired clock model, etc.
One problem with this screensaver is that it has no music whatsoever, and it will not allow us to load our own music files or playlists, which is rather disappointing considering that there are hundreds of free screensavers out there with a more complete set of features. On the other hand, the trial version has very few options enabled, and a nag screen showing up every two minutes. |
